New Mexico men arrested on drug charges in Jackson Co. | Crime
Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in Jackson County.
Officers stopped a van with temporary New Mexico plates, on Highway 72 for a traffic violation, Monday.
During the stop, officers requested assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit. A K-9 officer hit on the vehicle. After a search of the van, agents located three pill containers with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested 42-year-old Jason Russell Zubia and 26-year-old Charles Allen Torres, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were booked into the Jackson County Jail on $1,000 bond.
