Aquatic plant management forum | Environment

On Saturday, March 12th at 9am, an aquatic plant management forum will be held at the Guntersville City Senior Cent at 1500 Sunset Drive.

Aquatic weed problems have increased on Guntersville reservoir due to a change in seasonal weather patterns and the introduction of new, invasive species.  One of the purposes of the meeting is to provide facts and education about major aquatic weed issues that effect Lake Guntersville areas within Marshall and Jackson Counties. 

The programs is also intended to promote new dialog and facilitate ongoing discussions regarding initiatives to return aquatic plant management on Guntersville Reservoir to an institutional program.

Terry Goldsby, President/Senior biologist of Aquatic Services, Inc. will moderate the program.
