Domestic Violence Candle Light Vigil

The community came together Thursday night at the Jackson County Courthouse to recognize victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Thursday, October 21 · 6:00pm - 7:00pm at the Jackson County Courthouse. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and members of the community are coming together to recognize victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Scottsboro High School Marching Band is holding a BBQ Bash!

Join the Scottsboro High School marching band for a BBQ party at the Backyard BBQ Bash!  There will be backyard cook-offs for both adults and junior competitors. Sign up your company or group of friends to compete for prizes and bragging rights!  The Backyard BBQ Bash will be held Saturday, October 30th from 9am until 3pm at Scottsboro High School.

Last Chance to sign up For the 7th Annual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run

Saturday, October 16th is the 7th annual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run.  The men's 5K starts at 8am, the women's 5K at 9, and the survivors walk at 10am.  You can find the map and all the details on the ribbon run by clicking here.  The final chance for registration is tonight at Huntsville Middle School from 5 to 7pm.  There will be a spaghetti supper for registered participants, a memorial, and a tribute luminary display.  We hope you'll join tonight and tomorrow.
