Three car accident in Jackson County kills one | News

A three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning claimed the life of a Tennessee man.
The crash happened around 6:49 a.m. on Highway 35 just north of Section.
According to State Troopers, William D. White, 43 years old of Prospect, Tennessee, was killed when the southbound 2001 Mercury he was driving traveled into the northbound lane and struck a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Jonathan Kowdis, 23 years old of Section. A third vehicle, a northbound 1999 Mazda driven by Kathy Burgess, 57 years old of Section, then struck Mr. Kowdis's truck.
White was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers involved were taken to local hospitals for emergency care.
State Troopers are investigating the cause of the accident.
