Different treatments available for allergy eyes

For many people over-the-counter drops eye drops will be just fine, but if that doesn't work, it's time to go see your doctor.

DECATUR, AL (WAFF)- Sherry Mahaffey visits her ophthalmologist regularly. She said her biggest problems revolve around the allergies that seem to strike year round.

"My eyes start watering. They start burning, and it's just really a problem. I wear contacts," she said. "It's almost like there is a film on there that I can't get rid of."

She said she has tried everything.

"I've tried taking the contacts out, washing them, you know doing that. That would help temporarily and then I've tried, you know, over-the-counter drops."

For many people over-the-counter drops eye drops will be just fine, but if that doesn't work, it's time to go see your doctor.

Lake Guntersville named 4th highest for bass fishing

Lake Guntersville named 4th highest for bass fishing

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A national fishing magazine named Lake Guntersville in Marshall and Jackson counties the fourth highest-rated lake across the entire nation for bass fishing.

The article comes out this month in Bassmasters Magazine.

Chris Lane won the Bassmasters classic last year. Since then, he moved to Guntersville and opened a guide business because of the lake.

As far as the number four ranking, they were actually a little disappointed.

"I would expect it would have been number two to be honest with you," said Pat Kelly with Chris Lane Outdoor Fishing Guide.

One cast with a greenish colored lizard, and Kelly has a point.

"This is why Lake Guntersville is so good.  It didn't take long to catch that fish," he said.

While a number four ranking seems very, very good, Kelly said when it comes to bass in Lake Guntersville, the numbers are undisputable.
