Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies arrested a man after he shot at his father following an argument Tuesday evening.
Gerald Miller, 61, reported to deputies that his son, Herman Lee Miller, 40, had shot at him with a long gun at 30 Comfort Lane in Scottsboro.
The victim told police that he and his son had been arguing about the property and he had told his son that he was going to have to move off of it. The victim said that when his son got a long gun, the victim took cover in his vehicle. The father said his son began firing the gun at him while he was in the car. The victim said he tried to start the car but couldn’t, so he ran into the woods and called 911.
Herman Miller was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and domestic violence. He is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail with a bond set at $11,000.
