Just in time for back-to-school shopping, Alabama's Sales Tax Holiday begins on Friday, August 5th in Scottsboro.

This is the sixth year Alabama has held the tax holiday, giving shoppers the opportunity to buy certain school supplies without having to pay state sales tax.

Tax-exempt items include clothing, computers, software, school and art supplies, and books.
