Photo Gallery | Six arrested in Jackson Co. drug raids
Stevenson, AL (WAFF) - Stevenson Police along with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department raided an apartment Thursday night after getting complaints of possible drug activity.
Inside, they quickly spotted a working meth lab, along with five people - including two children.
37 year old James Rice was in the middle of cooking meth when the drug agents arrived, according to police reports. Also in the home were 33 year old William Mosely, 26 year old Tiffany Jordan and the two children. While searching the apartment, officers found more meth making items, marijuana, finished meth, and prescription painkillers. DHR took custody of the children. The three adults were arrested.
All three were charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Controlled Substances 1st degree, Chemical Endangerment of a Child X 2, Reckless Endangerment, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Meth), Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Colazepam) and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substances (Lortab). They're being held in the Jackson County Jail, awaiting bond.
Following up on evidence from the scene, the drug agents went to a home on Erich Avenue in Bridgeport. They found synthetic marijauna at that home. 42 year old Owen O'Reilly, 39 year old Cheri Fugate and 52 year old Richard Shirley were arrested at that scene and charged with Unlawful Possession of Synthetic Canabaniods. No Bond has been set at this time and and all remain in jail.
